writersroom

I must admit I’m not the biggest fan of the BBC’s writersroom. I have concerns of how useful it really is and think new writers could make better uses of their time and resources by developing other possible avenues to get their scripts under the noses of someone at the BBC instead.

Therefore I think it’s really good news that the people at the writersroom are going on tour to meet disenchanted writers such as myself. They’ll be explaining their script-reading process, what they are looking for, answering questions and taking scripts!

Details of the tour starting in Edinburgh next week are available here and many thanks to regular reader of the blog, Mad Science for pointing it out.

I do have one question though.

If the writersroom is travelling from town to town, does that now mean it should be called the writers caravan instead?

1 Just one more thing...:

And 6 posts in one month, truly will June become your most prolific month?

Wait, have I jinxed it?
